Staff:

We are blessed to have two talented and loving staff members, in addition to a Preschool Advisory Committee.

• Pat Hugus is our director and lead teacher. She received her degree in Elementary Education at Newberry College, in Newberry, South Carolina and has taught in public and private school settings in South Carolina, Georgia, and Florida. She comes to St. Matthew's Lutheran Early Learning School from the Mother’s Morning Out program where she saw a need for the children to have a faith-based beginning to their early childhood education.

• Becky Hutchka is our teacher’s aide. She comes to us as a former elementary school teacher.

Both Pat and Becky have given affidavits of good moral character and are meeting the child-care teaching requirements for the Florida State Department of Children and Families and the Association of Christian Schools International (our Accrediting Agency).
