Who is in it? All youth
ages 5th through 8th grade who enjoy ringing hand chimes and/or would
just like to experience how much fun ringing in a chime choir can be.
When is it? Rehearsals are
each Wednesday from 6:45 - 7:15 P.M. September through May,
excluding the Wednesdays in Advent and Lent. The Chimers ring
during worship on the first Sunday of each month, September through May
at either 8:30 or 11:00 A.M. worship service.
What do I need to know about music?
It is helpful but not mandantory to have some note reading experience
and to be able to tap your foot to the music. "Learn to Ring" bell
classes are held each year in August and they are a prerequisite for all
those who have not had previous experience in a chime or handbell choir.
How much of a commitment is it?
Substitute ringers are available when you have to miss, but it is more
fun when you can be there regularly.
