| The Youth Program is for all youth in the 6-12th
grade. A variety of activities are held throughout the year. Some of these
activities include ski trips to North Carolina, camping trips,
fundraisers, servant events, lock-ins, tubing the river, and more.
Sometimes these activities combine all 6-12th graders, and other times it
is split between Middle school & High school. For instance, we attend the
Florida/Bahamas Synod Middle school gathering and High school gathering.
We also attend the ELCA's tri-annual High school youth gathering, and are
already planning for New Orleans in 2009. The youth also meet on
Sunday evenings from 6-7:30pm for dinner, fellowship, games, and bible
studies. Please check the church calendar for youth group meeting dates.
The Youth Committee is made up of both adults and youth to plan and coordinate the youth events for the year. Parents, young adult volunteers, and Pastors all work together to ensure that there are adequate resources and supervision for fun, safe and enriching events. We also provide scholarships to assist families with most of our events. |
